How to Play Baccarat
Description
Bet on the Player, the Banker, or a Tie. Two hands are dealt, the closest to nine wins, and the cards do the rest. Pure atmosphere.
Objective
Bet on whichever hand — Player or Banker — you think will land closest to nine. You can also bet on a tie.
Setup
Two hands are dealt, Player and Banker, two cards each.
Number cards count at face value, 10s and face cards count as zero, and Aces count as one.
A hand's value is just the last digit of its total — a 7 and an 8 make 15, which counts as 5.
Rules
Place your bet before the cards are dealt: Player, Banker, or Tie.
If either hand totals 8 or 9 from its first two cards, that's a natural, and no more cards are drawn.
Otherwise, fixed rules (handled automatically) decide whether either hand draws a third card.
Winning
Whichever hand ends up closer to nine wins — bets on that hand pay out.
A tie pays out on tie bets and returns Player/Banker bets.
