How to Play Batak Koz Maca
Description
Spades are trump, nobody chose them, and every trick you win counts against you.
Objective
Take as few tricks as possible when spades are permanently trump and nobody chose them.
Setup
A standard 52-card deck for four players, thirteen cards each.
There is no bidding for suit — spades are trump in every single hand.
Rules
With trump fixed, the game becomes about avoiding rather than winning. Each trick you take counts against you.
Follow suit if you can; otherwise you may play a spade or discard. Highest spade takes the trick, or the highest card of the suit led.
Spades cannot be led until one has been played on an earlier trick, unless it is all you hold.
Winning
Score is counted by tricks taken, and the aim is to finish with the fewest.
Play continues over an agreed number of hands, with the lowest total winning.
