How to Play Big Two
Description
A fast climbing game where every play has to beat the last one. Singles, pairs, straights, flushes, full houses — empty your hand first and leave everyone else stuck holding cards.
Also known as: Deuces; Pusoy Dos; Choh Dai Di; Da Lao Er; Capsa Banting
Objective
Be first to empty your hand by playing progressively stronger card combinations.
Setup
Each player is dealt thirteen cards from a full deck.
Whoever holds the 3 of Diamonds must open the game with it, alone.
Rules
Each play must match the shape of the one before it — a single card, pair, three of a kind, or a five-card poker hand like a straight, flush, full house, four of a kind, or straight flush — and beat it outright.
Can't beat it, or don't want to? Pass.
Ranks run low to high with 2 as the highest card.
Spades outrank the other suits at equal value.
Winning
First to empty their hand wins.
Everyone else is ranked by how many cards they have left.
