How to Play Chinchon
Description
Runs and sets, five points or fewer to close — and one hand that wins the whole game outright.
Objective
Get your hand down to melds with as little unmatched value as possible, then close before your opponents.
Setup
A Spanish 40-card or standard 48-card deck. Deal seven cards to each player and turn one card face up to start the discard pile.
Rules
On your turn, draw one card from the stock or the top of the discard pile, then discard one.
Build melds of three or more: sets of the same rank, or runs in a single suit.
You may close when your unmatched cards total five points or fewer — lay your hand down and everyone else scores whatever they're holding.
Winning
A chinchón is a run of all seven cards in one suit — it wins the entire game outright, immediately.
Otherwise players accumulate penalty points across hands, and anyone exceeding the agreed limit is eliminated. The last player standing wins.
