How to Play Faceout

Description

Hold your cards facing out — everyone at the table can see your hand except you. Working together, the table must build four complete sequences from Ace to 10, one per suit, before the deck runs out.

Objective

Complete all four suit foundations from Ace to 10 before the deck runs out — without ever looking at your own cards.

Setup

Each player draws their starting hand one card at a time, holding every card face-out immediately without looking at it. Hand size depends on player count.

Four empty foundation spaces sit in the centre, one per suit.

Rules

On your turn, either name a position in your own hand and play that card to a foundation without looking at it, or give one clue to another player and draw a replacement card.

A clue must state exactly one fact about exactly one card in another player's hand: its suit, its rank, or that it's dead.

A correct placement extends the foundation; a wrong one burns that card permanently.

Each foundation runs as a continuous sequence from Ace to 10 with no gaps. Jacks, Queens and Kings are wildcards within their own suit — Jacks extend downward, Kings extend upward, Queens either way — and once a wildcard fills a slot, the number card that belonged there is dead.

Winning

The table wins together when all four foundations run complete from Ace to 10.

The game is lost if any foundation becomes mathematically impossible to complete. There are no lives — a wrong play burns for good.
