How to Play Golf
Description
Nine holes, lowest score wins. Flip cards from your grid to reduce your hand value — but some cards will hurt you and some will save you. Not to be confused with Golf Solitaire.
Objective
Score the fewest points across nine hands — low score wins, just like the sport.
Setup
Each player gets six cards, laid out face down in two rows of three in front of them.
Look at your two bottom cards only, then leave the whole layout face down.
The rest of the deck forms the draw pile, with one card turned face up beside it to start the discard pile.
Rules
On your turn, draw from the stock or the discard pile.
Swap it into your layout for any card you like — face up or face down — and discard whatever you swapped out. Or discard the drawn card outright and leave your layout untouched.
Matching cards stacked in the same column cancel each other out for zero points.
Kings score zero, Aces score one, number cards score face value, and Queens and Jacks cost you ten each.
Winning
Once someone's whole layout is face up, everyone else gets one final turn before all layouts are revealed and scored.
Lowest total after nine hands wins.
