How to Play Goofspiel
Description
A pure bidding game with no luck and no hidden cards — just simultaneous sealed bids for prize cards. Outsmart your opponents one card at a time.
Objective
Score more points than your opponent by winning the most valuable prize cards.
Setup
Two players.
Thirteen Diamond prize cards are revealed one at a time.
Each player has their own suit of bidding cards — one bids with Spades, the other with Hearts.
Rules
For each prize, both players secretly choose one bidding card to wager, then reveal simultaneously.
Whoever bid higher wins the prize and scores its value.
A tie means the prize is discarded — nobody scores it.
Each bidding card can only be used once.
Winning
After all thirteen prizes are contested, whoever scored more points wins.
Equal scores are a tie.
