How to Play Hand Saudi
Description
The Saudi table's rules for Hand — a different opening minimum and a different way of settling up when the hand is done.
Objective
Bid and take tricks under the house rules favoured at Saudi tables.
Setup
A standard 52-card deck, four players in two fixed partnerships. Thirteen cards each.
Rules
The Saudi form keeps the bidding and trump structure of Hand, with local variations in the minimum bid and in how the score is settled at the end of each hand.
Follow suit if you can; otherwise trump or discard.
Highest trump takes the trick, or the highest card of the suit led. The trick winner leads next.
Winning
Meeting the contract scores it for the partnership; missing it deducts the bid.
Play to an agreed target.
