How to Play Leekha
Description
Tarneeb with the partnerships stripped out. Every player bids alone, plays alone, and has nobody to blame for the number they chose.
Objective
Play for yourself alone — bid your own trick count and make it without a partner to cover you.
Setup
A standard 52-card deck, four players, thirteen cards each. There are no partnerships.
Rules
Each player bids the number of tricks they will personally take. Every player is playing against every other.
The highest bidder names the trump suit and leads.
Follow suit if you can; otherwise trump or discard. Highest trump takes the trick, or the highest card of the suit led.
Winning
Score your bid if you make it exactly, and lose it if you take too few — or too many, since overtricks help nobody when you are on your own.
Play to an agreed target; the individual scoring makes this the sharpest of the Tarneeb family.
