How to Play Nine-Card Brag
Description
Nine cards to split into three hands — then play them out one by one and hope all three hold up.
Objective
Win at least two of your three three-card hands to take the pot.
Setup
Up to five players. Everyone antes into the pot, then gets nine cards.
Rules
Split your nine cards into three separate three-card Brag hands. Set your best hand aside, your weakest hand aside, and keep the middle hand as your third.
Hands are revealed one round at a time, starting with everyone's first hand, then everyone's second, then everyone's third — highest hand in each round wins that round.
A three-of-a-kind beats a running flush, which beats a run, which beats a flush, which beats a pair, which beats a high card.
Winning
Win at least two of the three rounds and you take the whole pot.
If the wins are split with nobody managing two, the pot carries over — everyone antes again for the next deal.
