How to Play Omaha
Description
Poker with four hole cards and a rule that changes everything: you must use exactly two from your hand and exactly three from the board. No exceptions.
Objective
Win chips by building the best five-card hand using exactly two of your own cards and three community cards.
Setup
Each player gets four private hole cards, face down.
Two players post forced bets before the deal — the small blind and the big blind.
Rules
A round of betting happens before any community cards are dealt.
Three community cards are dealt face up (the flop), followed by a betting round.
A fourth community card is dealt (the turn), then another round.
A fifth and final community card is dealt (the river), then a final round.
Your hand must use exactly two of your four hole cards and exactly three of the five community cards — no more, no fewer.
Winning
Whoever's left after the final betting round reveals their hands — best five-card hand wins the pot.
If everyone else folds before that point, the last player standing wins without a showdown.
