How to Play Pisti
Description
Match the card on top and take the pile. Match a single card and you have made a pişti.
Objective
Capture cards from the table by matching, and land a pişti — a capture on a single card — for bonus points.
Setup
A standard deck. Deal four cards to each player and four face up to the table, with the bottom table card noted by the dealer.
Deal four more cards to each player as hands empty, until the deck is gone.
Rules
On your turn, play one card face up onto the table pile.
If it matches the rank of the card currently on top, you capture the whole pile.
Jacks capture the pile regardless of what is showing.
If it matches nothing, your card simply sits on top and play passes on.
Winning
Capturing a pile that contains exactly one card is a pişti, worth ten bonus points — twenty if done with a Jack.
At the end, score for the cards captured, plus points for holding the most cards. Play to an agreed target, usually 151.
