How to Play Ring of Fire
Description
Draw a card, follow the rule it triggers. Kings are different: whoever draws one invents a new rule on the spot, and the table plays under it until the fourth King ends the game.
Also known as: Kings; King's Cup
Objective
Keep the ring intact and the rules straight, card by card, until the fourth King ends the game.
Setup
Spread the whole deck face down in a circle on the table — the ring.
Agree as a table what a forfeit means before you start.
Rules
Take turns drawing one card from the ring and doing whatever it triggers — some cards single you out, some involve the whole table, some create a rule that sticks for the rest of the game.
Kings are different: whoever draws one invents a brand-new house rule on the spot — the app doesn't name it or track it. The table is responsible for remembering and enforcing it on each other.
Rules from multiple Kings stack. By the third or fourth King, the table is juggling several rules at once.
Break the ring while drawing, and that is a forfeit for you.
Winning
There is no winner — the game ends the instant the fourth King is drawn, whatever rules happen to be standing at that point.
