How to Play Suits You

Description

A hidden identity game of observation and nerve. Conceal your suit, watch everyone else for tells, and stake forfeits on accusations — but a wrong call costs you, and a right one costs them twice as much.

Objective

Guess who's hiding your suit before anyone guesses yours.

Setup

Deal one card face down to each player from a shuffled deck. That card's suit is your secret identity for the round — look privately, then keep it face down in front of you.

Agree as a table what a forfeit means before you start.

Rules

Cards are flipped one at a time from the centre deck.

When a card turns, any player may accuse any other player of holding that suit, staking a number of forfeits. Multiple accusations can happen on the same flip.

After each flip, a ten-second window opens before accusations resolve publicly and simultaneously — signalling ready too early is itself a tell.

Winning

A correct accusation costs the accused double the stake and gives them a new secret suit card. A wrong accusation costs the accuser their own stake.

The game ends when the deck is exhausted or the table agrees to stop. There is no winner.
