How to Play Tri-Peaks
Description
Three overlapping peaks of cards wait to be cleared by building a run — one rank up or down — from the waste card. Clear all three peaks and you win.
Also known as: Three Peaks; Triple Peaks
Objective
Clear all three peaks by moving every card onto the waste pile.
Setup
Deal 28 cards face up into three overlapping pyramids, four rows deep, sharing a ten-card base row.
The rest forms the stock. Flip the top stock card to start the waste pile.
Rules
Only uncovered cards — nothing resting on top of them — can be played.
Move an uncovered card onto the waste pile if it's one number higher or lower than the waste pile's current top card. Suit and color don't matter.
Removing a card may uncover the ones beneath it, making them playable too.
Stuck? Draw a card from the stock onto the waste pile. There's no redeal — run out of stock before clearing the peaks, and the game is lost.
Winning
Clear all three peaks and you win, regardless of how many cards remain in the stock.
One of the friendlier solitaire games here — fast-paced and approachable, without the brutal win rates of the harder builders.
