How to Play Yukon

Description

Like Klondike, but with all cards dealt face up from the start and no draw pile. Everything is visible — the challenge is untangling what's in front of you.

Objective

Move all 52 cards onto four foundation piles, sorted by suit from Ace to King.

Setup

Deal seven columns like Klondike's staircase (one card in the first, growing to seven in the last), but then deal four more face-up cards onto every column except the first.

No stock pile — every card is dealt out at the start.

Rules

Build tableau columns downward, alternating red and black — but unlike Klondike, you can move any face-up card along with everything sitting on top of it, even if that group isn't in proper sequence itself.

Only the join at the destination needs to be valid — one rank higher, opposite color.

An empty column can only be filled by a King (with or without cards attached to it).

Winning

You win once all four foundations are complete.

Since every card is dealt face up from the start, this is a game of visible planning rather than hidden information.

Trickier than it looks — win rates hover around 14%, even with the extra flexibility of moving unsequenced groups.
